Well.

Forget all of the plans and the schedules that you've heard from us before. We are leaving Chennai early!

Our tour is up, technically, on 15 September, 2006. However, due to circumstances that are of no interest to you and that are really rather dull, we are now leaving in July.

As it stands right now, we will leave here in July and spend our mandatory home leave in Brooklyn. That's approximately 20 - 25 working days. We may also spend another week in DC doing consultations. And then it's off to Tokyo! We're arriving early because Chris has been granted four months of advanced Japanese language training in Yokohama, which is very very very cool. We are excited.

It may seem to you that July is very far away, but in Foreign Service World, it's very close. It's right around the corner, in fact.
