no green thumb here There is, in our living room, a very large empty space in the corner that we couldn't really decide what to do with. It's not quite big enough for a reading chair and table. It's not quite small enough to just leave empty. I decided to put a tree there, because trees are lovely and make oxygen and look pretty. We have a lot of plants that have been provided by the consulate's greenhouse, but I needed one a little larger than theirs. I went nursery shopping with my friend Teresa and she helped me pick out a ficus tree. Now, I don't even know what a ficus tree is, but she assured me that it would grow well in my dark little empty corner. Within days, the leaves were falling off all over the floor. I watered it more and even more leaves fell off. I watered it less and all of the leaves fell off. I was very sad. I asked Sival to look at it. He came in and made a little gasp. He then promptly rescued my tree and took it outside in the sunshine. Then he came back in and looked at all of my other plants, which I thought were looking just fine, if slightly droopy. He gasped again. More than once. He took a lot of them outside. I then gave him rs 15 to go and buy plant medicine. The plants have all had their plant medicine and have been sitting in the sun for one week. They look a lot happier. Here is my newly-revived ficus tree: | ||||
