i am employed!

I have finally gotten a job. No more staying up all night reading books and/or drinking wine and/or watching Law & Order DVDs. No more wearing my overalls every day to go out and my cutoffs that are held together entirely by safety pins to stay home (I'm still punk rock!).

I work at the American Consulate, Chennai. I am responsible for “additional administrative processing” for visa applicants whose cases require supplemental bureaucratic investigation.

I could tell you what that means, but then I'd have to kill you.

It is actually very interesting and educational.

We'll see how I feel about that statement in a month.
