happy new year! We wanted to do something special for Max's first New Year's celebration, so we did what all self-respecting new parents do in Japan. We took our newborn to the party! Right before midnight, we walked down to Roppongi Crossing, where the kool kidz meet to holler in the New Year. I can say, without reservation, that little Max was the only baby there. We stood in the crowd and yelled Happy New Year. Then we took Max to the local Shinto shrine to make his first devotions. He got to have his first prayer of life AND his first prayer of the New Year offered simultaneously, which is very auspicious. The kid has some very good juju. Beth and Max go to the party. Yes, that IS a beer in the stroller. | ||
