kamakura

Kamakura was the capital of Japan from 1185 to 1333. This was during one of the crazy clannish shogun battles for power. Now, many years later, it is a cultural destination that possesses a vast number of Buddhist temples and some Shinto shrines. It is very close to Yokohama and is a very popular day trip from Tokyo. It is a wonderful way to spend a day, largely because it is very pleasant to walk between all of the sites.

However, I wouldn't suggest doing too much of it when you are seven months pregnant. For the record.

One of the most famous sites in Kamakura is the Daibutsu (Great Buddha), which dates back to 1252. It was, at one time, housed in a large hall. However, the hall was swept away in the tsunami of 1495 and the Buddha was left sitting in the open, where it remains today.

next, please.
