But of course we were destined to find out why this gorgeous place has a bad reputation. Chris' opinion of both the food and the service is written all over his face, no? Once here, one finds oneself a captured audience. The food was so bad as to border on inedible and the service, though the gentlemen seemed to have nothing but the best intentions, was atrocious. And of course we, without wheels, were stranded with no options.

One aspect of our trip to Pondicherry that never got reported was similar. Chris was penning a story about it but got sidetracked in the process. We joked that waiters there really had been well trained in the art of French service. However, the trend seems to not be confined to the French area, as it was just as bad here. Waiting for an hour for drinks is not nice. Waiting for well over an hour for food that is found to be utterly inedible is even worse. Both here and in Pondicherry, we often waited for 30 minutes just for coffee. I mean, like, while we were the only people in the restaurant. And I'm not a person to get uptight about such things. It was THAT bad.

Moral? Bring your own food to Ideal Beach and eat it out by the Bay.

Thank you.
May I please see the last one again?
