Ginza

Ginza is, linguistically speaking, “the place where silver is minted”. It is so called because, in the early 1600s, it was where the Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu began to make coins. It has since become the most stylish shopping district in Tokyo. Crammed into a half-kilometer square area, it contains branches of all of the world's most posh and fancy stores. Obviously, I don't shop there, but it's fun to walk around and look at stuff.

Mysteriously, I can't seem to find any pictures of Ginza, though I know that I possess some. I will go look for them.
