i can't believe it

It is totally baffling to me that today is our second wedding anniversary. It really does seem like a few months ago that I was posting pictures from our first anniversary. But I guess that time is a fungible sort of thing, perception-wise.

This year, we are staying close to home. Very close to home, in fact. In fact, we're staying in home. It snuck up on both of us and when we finally remembered, it was sort of too late to get reservations anywhere. But that's OK, because we are both quite happy being home all day. Well, not all day, I guess. We went to the pool. And we might go out to dinner, if we feel like it.

Two years seems like such a very short time, when you say it out loud. I feel like we've been married forever. In a happy and comfortable and satisfied kind of way, not an “oh god, is he still here?” kind of way.

Hee hee hee. He's asleep on the guest bed as I write this, after going to the pool, consuming a few beers, and smoking a good cigar. That's a pretty good anniversary, if you ask me.
